                      New Century.  New Symphony.

More people are getting the word!  There's something exciting happening with the Saint Joseph Symphony.  For the second time in two months, the orchestra thrilled the crowd at the historic Missouri Theater.  Here's what our audience had to say:

-  "Wow!"  "The orchestra sparkled!"
-  "She [guest conductor Beverly Everett] was fantastic!"
-  "Wonderful performance!"
-  "Fabulous!"
-  "We're switching from [the] Kansas City
      [Symphony] to Saint Joseph!"

The audience was entranced by our own Ziva Patt-Rappaport's performance of the Sibelius violin concerto and praised music director finalist Beverly Everett's energy and enthusiasm, saying they enjoyed the concert more than any in a long time.  Our audience grew a strong 10% from our first concert of the season to the second - if you missed out, here's your invitation to get on board!

Our third music director finalist will conduct the orchestra in February but first, we'll take time out for our annual holiday pops concert.  Our friend and colleague Tony Brandolino, director of the Liberty Symphony, has generously offered to take the podium in December while we continue our search.  The program will include Leroy Anderson favorites, a solo ballet performance with selections from the Nutcracker and a special performance by the St. Joseph Community Chorus, in its final season under Artistic Director Frank Thomas.  It's easy to buy your tickets online from the comfort of your home or office, right here on the
tickets section of our website.  The Saint Joseph Symphony wants to give a sparkling, wonderful and fabulous concert just for you.  Join us on December 20th, and spend a few hours of the last weekend before Christmas hearing great live music!
